Jackie Rey’s, named after the two owners’ daughter, has a varied menu and serves an impressive variety of delicious foods such as salads, New England clam chowder, steaks, pork chops, fresh catch, pasta, and even a healthy wild mushroom bowl. Their happy hour offers some great deals and includes several delicious pupu (appetizer) options for $5 as well as $5 beer, $7 wine and $8 mai tais. And, aside from the food, the also grill has a huge wine menu full of any and all types of wine you can think of including sparkling wines, champagnes, chardonnays, pinot noirs, and much, much more. There is a special Wino Wednesdays offered every Wednesday with every first bottle of wine priced at half-off! Jackie Rey’s is such a wonderful establishment in the Kona area that it received the 2017 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence due to it’s incredibly varied and high-quality wine list. TripAdvisor even awarded the well-known restaurant with the certificate of excellence in 2014, 2015, and in 2016!
