She helped us negotiate a fair, reasonable price in the purchase negotiations, we worked with her recommended mortgage broker and got the LOWEST rate available in the market and her list of local vendors provided prompt, reasonable pricing for inspections, repairs and the appraisal. 2) Maly is so organized and was definitely our advocate - always looking out for our best interests at every new challenge. She created a proactive time line document with dates, action items, and completed tasks to keep us on track in the very complicated sales and purchasing process. She gently reminded us if a task needed to be completed and worked with the seller, realtor, inspectors, condo association and mortgage broker on our behalf. Working across multiple time zones (Maly was in North Africa during most of our purchase journey) did not phase her one bit! 3) Maly knows the Big Island market and complicated Hawaii real estate world. We would have been lost without her direction, coaching and knowledge, particularly purchasing a condo for the first time. There were NO surprises during the entire purchase process because Maly brought her knowledge and expertise to make sure we were always ahead of the game. 4) Maly has a secret weapon: her Husband Derrick filled in admirably when Maly was out of town, He took my wife to over 30 properties in a short time frame, always arriving with a smile and offering his honest, local flavored opinion on each property. And if you ever need any work or projects completed, rest assured that Derrick "has a guy" who can do it. OK, I lied - we worked with Maly for these 4 reasons and one more: the last one, which may be the most important of all: she is so dang NICE. No matter the time of day, international time zone or challenge before us, Maly's positive attitude saved the day. We never doubted the deal would get done. She is always positive, anticipates issues or problems and seeks solutions right away. All with a beautiful smile in her voice.
