From Georgia to Hawaii

Moving to The Big Island of Hawaii
I got a message from a wonderful couple who had long dreamed of retiring in Kailua Kona, Hawai‘i. After years of imagining life on the islands, they made the bold decision to sell their beautiful home in Georgia to turn that dream into reality.
The journey wasn’t without its hurdles, but once their home received an offer, we hit the ground running to find their perfect island escape. Throughout our conversations, one condo complex kept coming up—it checked all the right boxes—but Diane and John were thoughtful and wanted to explore every possible option before making their final decision.
Working with them was an absolute joy. They came prepared, did their homework, and followed every recommendation to ensure a smooth and secure escrow process. From researching condo associations to binge-watching every YouTube video about Big Island living, they were all in.
Then one day… we found it. The one.
The condo was everything they had hoped for—two bedrooms, a spacious lanai with stunning views, and a location just a short stroll from Ali‘i Drive. It was move-in ready and had just the right amount of space for their books, artwork, and visits from the grandkids. It felt like a perfect little slice of paradise.
The entire transaction was handled remotely, and just a few days after closing, Diane was able to adorn the beautiful lanai with hibiscus flowers, a warm cup of Kona coffee in one hand and John’s hand in the other.
They now get to enjoy the sky from their breezy lanai—and knowing how warm and friendly they are, they’ve probably already made a bunch of new friends by now!
And just like that, their new chapter began—less peach pie, more poke bowls. Less traffic, more tidepools. A little less Georgia… and a whole lot more aloha.
