Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill is a popular local’s favorite featuring fresh seafood, steaks, pasta and a variety of salads at affordable prices; here you can experience great food and old-fashioned hospitality, island style. Located in downtown Hilo, in the Historic Kaikodo building constructed in 1907, it was originally the Hilo Masonic Lodge Hall. Inside, the restaurant’s interior boasts a beautifully hand-carved 150-year old English wet bar and 200-year old Chinese wood/glass doors. The ambiance is bright and modern, with gilded pendant lights above clean and minimal decor. You will be greeted with friendly service and a full bar where tropical drinks are blended using locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh-squeezed and hand-crafted. The entrees are creatively appointed with a healthy balance of meat, seafood, and veggies. The portions are large and the atmosphere is casual with frequenting locals.
