Volcano Village, Hawaii is located at the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and is surrounded by the Kahaualea Natural Area Reserve and the Ola’a Forest Reserve. It is a region rich in history, culture and agricultural riches. The area rests at an elevation of 3,750 feet with a full-time resident population of approximately 2575. Volcano Farmers Market Within this small community you will find the Cooper Center. The center is where local activities are hosted in part by the Cooper Center Council. Every Sunday, the center congregates for the Volcano Farmers Market. The market allows for local farmers, crafters and bakers to sell goods in support of the local community and the center itself. Fresh local produce, deserts, breakfast items, hand-baked breads, honey, organic produce, grass-fed beef, poi, flowers and plants as well as, handmade crafts are available for your choosing. Their prepared Thai meals have also been a popular item for years, as well as their sweet cheese and macadamia croissants. Get there early as items can sell out before closing.
